Description
English: LCAC-55, a Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), maneuvers to enter the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). Kearsarge and the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) are conducting Maritime Security Operations in the Persian Gulf. The Landing Craft Air Cushion, more commonly known as an LCAC, is assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4 from Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek in Norfolk, Va.
