The literal translation is IN THIS HOUSE (BUILDING) / TAUGHT / MAX PLANCK / THE DISCOVERER / OF THE ELEMENTARY / QUANTUM EFFECT h / FROM / 1889 1928, which can be smoothed out or modified into plain English in any caption.
