Transverse section of a cerebellar folium, showing its principal cell types and connections.
This is a drawing of a transverse section of a cerebellar folium, showing its principal cell types and connections. On the molecular layer we see the cell of Purkinje, axons of granule cells, a Golgi cell, basket cells, and a neuroglia cell. The nuclear layer has granule cells, and is penetrated by the axon of Purkinje cells, tendril fiber, and moss fiber.
