{"id":15,"date":"2021-03-24T14:09:39","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T14:09:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lwl.samcockrill.co.uk\/?page_id=15"},"modified":"2022-09-22T07:31:45","modified_gmt":"2022-09-22T07:31:45","slug":"using-the-platform","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mbsseknowledgeplatform.gov.sl\/using-the-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Using this platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>How to use this platform<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The MBSSE Education Knowledge Platform is a hub of information, resources, guidance or research on basic and secondary education in Sierra Leone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It provides materials for everyone across the education sector with an interest in Sierra Leone\u2019s secondary schools \u2013 including teachers and school supervisors, policy-makers and community members.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What it offers<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tools to support education providers\u2019 professional development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Resources to inform decision-making in schools<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Policies that outline requirements and standards for education<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Information and guidance for pupils, parents and community members<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Digital versions of learning resources, including the Pupils\u2019 Handbook<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to use the platform<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The platform offers a variety of ways to search and find what you need.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Use the search bar to browse the entire site. It will return all documents that relate to the terms that you use.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Select your audience via the home page. This will return all resources and information relevant to a specific role, e.g. documents for teachers, education managers, parents or pupils.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Focus on specific document types using the navigation tabs. Choose from one of the top tabs to find a list of resources grouped by purpose, e.g. policy documents or teaching guides.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Once you\u2019ve accessed a list of resources, you can narrow your search by applying filters.
